Hi I am new to the site and have a couple questions regarding Safford, az.

1. Does anyone know where the closest nicu (neonatal intensive care unit) is located. My wife is a neonatal nurse practioner and I want to make sure she would be able to find work.

2. Is there a catholic church in the immediate area?

Thank you

Thank you for the reply it looks like a beautiful church. Does anyone else know about the nicu? or just if there is a children's hospital nearby?

Thank you

I live here in Safford...and yes there is a vibrant, large Catholic community here.
I haven't personally made Father Arial's acquaintance but I hear he is a fine gentleman.
I do know many of the members and they are good folks.
As far as a neonatal ER...I am not exactly sure about that, but I am guessing these services are provided by Mt Graham Hospital....since i am not even real sure what neonatal means....don't quote me.
Very nice hospital though.

Home :: Mt. Graham Regional Medical Center - The Eastern Arizona Hospital You Can Trust!

That dark haired nurse... Heidi... whose picture pops up when you open the site, took care of me a year ago when I ended up there with pneumonia...she was an absolute sweetheart and a great nurse.
I have had nothing but good experiences there....considering I would be happy never to need their services again.

Thank you for the reply it was very helpful. The neonatal means children that were born prematurely. There are different levels of care as well. My wife and I are wondering if there is a closer nicu than in tucson. Any information anyone could provide would be really helpful.

Thank you

I would recommend calling Mt Graham Regional Medical center. I've looked at their website, it doesn't specify, but I'm guessing not. They do have a maternity ward though. Bless your wife for wanting to work in that niche area! That would be an intensely emotional specialty.
