I have searched recent threads and didn't really have my question answered...Can anyone give suggestions on cheap (under $60), safe (female traveling solo), clean motels in the following towns:
Lake Havasu City or close by
Wickenburg
Kingman
Bullhead City
Thanks so much!

by far and above--Laughlin, which is a free river taxi ride from BHC. Can be expensive on weekends, but almost always cheap during the week. http://www.tripres.com/hotels/info.a...FQhubAodeGRBAw I would go with River Palms for 14 Bucks per night. It's almost a ***.

Laughlin is a good suggestion for the Havasu/Bullhead/Kingman part of the state (I'm not sure exactly what your plans are. I don't know what's available in Wickenburg, but since this is high winter season, your price may be a problem.

You could be looking at 80-100 per night at Best Western in Wickenburg. Avoid.....

In Kingman at the Andy Devine (Rt66) exit off I40, there are probably a dozen hotels under $60 bucks. Motel 6 is usually around $35.

I'd third Laughlin for the Bullhead region. Maybe even for Lake Havasu and Kingman. The Avi runs $22/night during the week in the summer but still under $60 on the weekends, even in the winter. That gets you a decent room with cable TV and free wifi.
For Wickenburg, I would just stay on the far west side of Phoenix off of US 60 and commute. There aren't a lot of hotels there so the ones that are there get expensive.

Thanks all! I have some flexibility in my fact-finding/checking out towns route, so maybe I can avoid staying in Wickenburg. W'burg will be the farthest east I will be in AZ.

I spent several nights at the Motel 6 in Kingman, and I think it was $30-something per night. I'm a single female and didn't have any problems there. I did have a large dog with me though. Seemed like an area I would have felt safe in even without the dog.

I did too-single mom with four kids. In fact, I stayed at Motel 6 across 1-40 from Arkansas to Kingman. Never had a problem at any of them! The one in Kingman was across the street from an Albertson's grocery store and Taco Bell.
