Hey, I think I may be moving out of NC after college (probably about 4 years from now... planning on being a lawyer), and I'm looking for a few specific things in the place I choose. I really want to be close enough to the desert to be able to shoot often. That's big. I also want to be reasonably close to a city/major town so that when major bands come through, I can actually make it. I like music, and that's also pretty important. The last thing is I would like to find a place with somewhat low crime, which I know conflicts with a city.

Northeast Phx or Scottsdale have low crime, are close to Route 87,"the Beeline", which takes you,in a short trip, into desert where everybody goes to shoot stuff. Going into the desert to shoot stuff is a pretty popular past time here.
