Going to Verde Valley the week between Christmas and New Years. Anyone know what the weather is like that time of year? We are travelling in a 5th wheel and staying at Zane Grey RV Park. We live in So Calif.

Thanks
JO

You could hit snow if coming in on the I-40 through Flagstaff or around Prescott exit area on the I-17. Watch the weather and don't let Phoenix weather fool you. It changes lots when you climb in elevation. Also, watch your rig size when deciding to take some "scenic "routes on your way to the valley. The back way over the mountain from Prescott to Jerome to Cottonwood is a no, no. Save your trip to Jerome for after you've arrived. Also, don't take the Oak CreekCanyon/Sedona exit off I-17 jou pass out of Flagstaff. That's another trip to save for when you've arrived and unhitched. Both routes mentioned are switch backs and steep winding roads with limitations to size.

If you are headed to the Verde Valley you should check out Arizona Equestrian Connection. They operate from a large ranch and do overnight accommodations PLUS RV Hook-ups.

We stayed there and the kids could paddle boat, fish on property and have many other play areas. Hope this helps. I believe their email is ArizonaEquestrianConnection.com
