We got to visit the area recently, and briefly, and my husband has put in for a job there. I'm most curious about where we would move to.

We had stopped in at one of the apartment complex's we drove by, but there were income restrictions that we didn't qualify for. Are all the apartments like this? Would renting a home potentially have these requirements? Any areas better than others? We're not interested in buying a home, so suggestions for apartments or info on home rentals would be nice. We haven't looked really hard yet, as he might not get the job.

Any input about anything would be helpful! I don't know much about the area at all!

Cottonwood is less expensive than Prescott and Sedona. However, there is a reason for that. Zoning is more relaxed for starters.Locals can draw their own conclusions on that one. Especially towards Camp Verde. Plus, usually about 10 degrees warmer than Sedona and Prescott given Cottonwood is around 3000 ft elevation to Sedona and Prescott's 5000 ft.
