Hi all, we just moved to Sierra Vista from TN on military orders, my husband is a soldier. I am an LPN with a compact licence and has just sent in application to endorse to AZ. I also have a 16-month old boy. I am looking to work as an LPN and also for info on where I can find a job. What and where are the best day care for my son? What's the fingerprint card I am reading about and how do I get one? Please please, help this very confused mom. Thanks in advance

Fingerprint card:
How can I obtain an application packet for an initial or renewal IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card?
You may obtain an application packet from your employer or you may request a packet directly from DPS by either calling (602) 223-2279 or faxing your request to (602) 223-2947. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Once you have your packet, call 520-452-7500 (Sierra Vista PD) and they will tell you when you can go get your prints taken. Twice a week if I remember correctly. Cost $5.

As for working, the Sierra Vista Regional Health Center may not pay as well as Tucson hospitals, but you will make it up in MUCH less gas than driving all the way to Tucson every day. There is also LifeCare and some nursing home type places in town.

Good luck. Oh, and by the way, you might want to move this post out of the Tucson section so it is seen by more people from Sierra Vista. Someone may know of a job opening.

There is no place to "post" for a job as far as I know, if you want a nursing job, you have to present yourself and your credentials, convince them you will be an asset to their program. It's also time to go back to school to earn your RN degree...as you can see by the listings below, there are no postings for LPN's.

SVRHC.

Check other hospitals in the area as well as long term care facilities.

Good Luck
