Don't know if anyone has heard of this law, or if anything like this is in other states.

It's in Colorado and Utah, also.

Most states seem to have this law. AZ was a late adopter.

yeah, I saw the big warning signs....shoot, I thought it was a warning to left-lane campers to "move over" to a more appropriate lane if not actively passing

I was hoping that's what all the ruckus was about, but I figured it was probably the safety issue instead.

Sad, isn't it . . . we need a law where basic Common Sense should prevail?

It's been on the local news this past week. They were saying the police are going to do heavy enforcement starting now whatever that means.
I have a problem with it when you see cops, cars, or other vehicles sitting just off the road when you're in the rush hour traffic, and no one lets you change over to get out of the way.

That is why it is called, move over OR slow down....

Seen people just about coming to a stop, and move a lane....
As said, it is common sense.

Officers need to be able to focus on the person or people in the vehicle. It gets awful hard to do that when you have cars and trucks blowing by you two feet away (sometimes less) It's even less understandable when the next lane over is totally empty.
