Hello, Fellow Hiker/Outdoorsman here. Arizona surely does have some remote spots. Almost anywhere in the state someone can find some spot that gives you that "I'm in the middle of nowhere" feel. What is your opinion on the most remote place in Arizona? Somewhere north of the grand canyon? Somewhere on Native Lands? Deep inside one of the designated wilderness areas? Someplace so remote you fear to even mention it on city-data so you can have it all to yourself

My vote would be deep inside the canyon during winter months or the deep inside Kaibab national forest on the northern side of the canyon especially during winter months. With some areas deep inside the Tonto and Coconino forests following close behind.

I would say somewhere in the southwest quarter of the state, like deep into the Cabeza Prieta Wilderness or the Barry M. Goldwater Range.

Most remote from the rest of Arizona? The NW Corner/Arizona Strip. Close to Vegas and St. George, though.

Most remote, period? Probably somewhere in the far eastern part of the state, most likely somewhere in northern Greenlee county.

As far as what FEELS the most remote - trekking through Wupatki NE of Flagstaff always feels really, really isolated. It's nice.

Around the Chiricahuas, particularly the east side near Portal.

There is a reason the AZ Strip is remote. Think Colorado City. That area is cut off from the rest of the state geographically and would be better off in Utah.

As far as remote with infrastructure, I have to say Young,AZ. Dirt roads in every direction just to drive 30 plus miles to Christopher Creek or Roosevelt Lake. I'd say that is hard to top.
