Teacher's pay map shows New York educators get biggest salaries | Mail Online

It's averaged by state, and I would imagine unionization and cost-of-living makes a difference, NY is highest, not surprisingly, at $75,279.00. The national average is $56,383.

AZ's average teacher salary is $49,885. That's less than CA, NV, OR, and WA, but more than TX, NM, KS, OK, or CO.

I don't see a correlation of teacher pay with Arizona school rating.

I always heard AZ teachers get paid less that teachers of every state except for Mississippi
