a new BBQ place is due to open soon in Ash Fork . I love BBQ ribs but have not had any since I left Omaha 20 years ago . when Lulus does open up I will wait for about a week for the people to get to learn things . a brand new building that can only help the town look better . located at West end of town right next to Corral Market .

I drove by it this weekend - it looks pretty fancy. If the food is good, it might be an enjoyable place to hang out and watch the trains passing by. Any idea when it's supposed to open?

Their Facebook page says a couple of weeks. I've added a restaurant listing for them on Urbanspoon.

if they do a good job with marketing and quality, it certainly could get word-of-mouth among interstate travelers and, later, it might even get written up in various travel mags...

best of luck to them....BBQ lovers can be picky and individual styles can vary widely

Let us know how it is and if it's two thumbs up I'll stop on my next trip up the hill to Flag.

the place opened up around mid September . wife and I tried it and liked what we saw . I had BBQ ribs , meat was a bit tough but the sauce was out of this world . had plenty to eat and ended up taking half the ribs home from being so stuffed . they have a small sports bar but that isn't my thing . next week I plan to try "pulled pork " . forgot all they have on menu but will try all as times goes by ,

Found this on Yelp. The reviews go both ways....
Lulu Belle's BBQ, Ash Fork - Restaurant Reviews - TripAdvisor
BBQ meat should not be though, that is fur sure....

Looks a bit upscale, what did you pay AFR I have eaten superb BBQ in states like LA MS AL in places that where real shacks, but busy as a beehive.
