Well, lo and behold, former employer sent me an email that they made some calculation error and will sending me a "slightly higher commission." Since I told them I need more than double what they previously paid me, I'm guessing this adjustment is not going to cut it. But it will be good to get a down payment on what they owe me and thus further proof of their fuzzy math. I've since heard from another former co-worker who got tough with them and they coughed up another check for him too. My check should be in the mail this week. Still plan to file a wage claim, but will have to make another demand first for the difference between my last one and however much this check is for.
