MUCH nicer winters in Kingman, too.

And it's certainly less expensive and more down to earth. My post wasn't intended as a knock on Kingman - I have lived for extended periods in all three communities and would probably opt for Kingman if forced to make a choice. But it isn't everyone's cup of tea, and it is definitely several notches below the other two in many respects that lots of people consider important. The other two are definitely more "cosmopolitan," which means nothing to me but does to many people.

Here is the weather station just a bit North of Kingman. It provides better info than out at the airport in my opinion.

NE of Stockton Hill Rd and MP11 Weather | Personal Weather Station: KAZKINGM17 by Wunderground.com | Weather Underground

I just moved to Kingman after living in Mazatlan, Mexico for 6 years. I loved it there, but the 89% humidity every single day during the summer was killing me...literally. I had pneumonia 8 times in 2 and a half years and spent a total of 9 months in the hospital. We decided on Kingman because of the climate and low humidity. We found a real estate agent online and she went out and looked at houses for us and sent us pictures and her recommendations for neighborhoods. We had never even stepped foot in Kingman, yet we bought our house sight unseen. I came up for 2 weeks in October and furnished it and we finally moved up for good in January - another 2 bouts of illness landed me in the hosptal in November and again in early January, so we delayed.
We do not regret our decision at all. We took a huge leap of faith and it paid off. It is a big difference from living on the beach in a resort town - we are used to being in a area with a lot of entertainment and fancy restaurants - but it is a good change for us. Vegas and Laughlin are close enough for entertainment and the mountain scenery is just as beautiful as the beach scenery we had before.
About the only complaint I have is lack of shopping in town. Where do you all go to buy clothes and shoes?? At least my shopaholic self will save money in that department!

Welcome to Kingman CYGNET2!!

We use the world wide web for most items. Henderson is 90 miles North and provides all the shopping, Food for the foodies and entertainment required. We do not donate to any casino's so we may go in to watch a movie but then we are outa there.

Hi there,
I will also be looking at relocation to Kingman and was wondering about a good CrossFit gym and also possibilities to buy organic foods/grass fed beef etc.
Thanks

The wellness center at KRMC https://www.azkrmc.com/healthcare-fa...ss-center.html
As for the organic/ grass fed beef I would say a 90 mile trip north to Henderson would work.

We too are thinking of relocating from Michigan to Kingman or a nearby neighborhood.
How far away are things like groceries and shopping, say like Target,Kohls etc?
