I'll be voting for the Libertarian Party candidate (I suspect it will be Gary Johnson again) in November.

As to how AZ entire votes, I predict a record low at the polls if it's Trump v Clinton all over the nation and here in AZ. It would be the most polarizing election with two candidates most people cannot stomach. It won't matter who wins because the nation will be screwed either way.

I'd take Sanders over Trump or Hillary. They're both that bad.

Vote for me AZ! I will put a chicken in every pot, and a gun in every hand! Gabby Gifford will be run out of state on a rail, followed by that old Fossil whats-his-name that purports to be our senator. Clinton will be arrested if she sets foot in the state. And Trump will be asked to get the darn wall finished.

Me? I'm not voting. Why bother. Given the choices we have and the fact that no 3rd party has a chance and Arizona's vote doesn't matter anyway I feel it is my civic duty to abstain and not participate in the farce of picking the lesser of two evil people who will both probably destroy what's left of the country. As for Sanders, no I'm not voting for a commie.

The AZ Republic editorial staff this week recommends:
If you're a Republican to vote for John Kasich.
If you're a Democrat vote for Clinton.
Why John Kasich deserves the Republican vote

I cannot remember a time when people were so angry and vicious as during GW Bush's presidency. What I'm trying to say is, it cuts both ways. Since the Boomers took over, Americans are just too impatient to hear the other side anymore.

Speaking of fact-free, I've been hearing nothing but fact-free rhetoric from the Left since this whole freakshow of a presidential campaign began. Coming off a mediocre and divisive Obama presidency, they really have nothing to sell to the American people. So they attack the opposition and blame it for everything wrong, much as Obama himself has done basically his entire terms of office.

As for governmental experience -- what does that mean, exactly? Experience in cutting back room deals, horse-trading, sweetening the pot to get someone's vote, persuading a roomful of people to go along with your vision? If that's what you mean, Trump's your man. He's a brilliant negotiator and deal maker.

Obama, Hillary, and Bernie are extremists, which is to say, they are ideologues (with Hillary being the least of the three) who are uncompromising in their positions and unwilling to deal with the opposition. Trump would be totally willing to deal with the opposition, so much so in fact that the establishment GOP considers him a maverick unfit to represent their party.

And violence? There's been some violence and scuffling at Trump rallies, incited by paid agitators from MoveOn, Black Lives Matter, a group calling itself "F--- The Police (FTP), and a few others. That group in Arizona, for example -- a handful of people engaged in civil disobedience to try to obstruct some Trump rally. Who's the troublemaker here? A guy making provocative speeches, or a bunch of rabble rousers trying to shout him down and shove signs in people's faces and call them taunting names to try to roust them to violence?

Sorry if it wasn't clear to you that I was speaking of the candidates, not the voters. And, yes, I think if you listen to both parities, you'll find that people like Trump are less likely to be dealing in facts - expect for the peculiar fact he keeps citing, that his poll numbers have increased. He doesn't cite any specific facts about his plans or the state of the nation.

As a matter of fact, have you seen the study done of the rate of Trump lies - every fine minutes?

https://www.rawstory.com/2016/03/tru...ng-to-science/

And, yes, although you choose to put it in negative terms, political experience includes the art of compromise. In case you've forgotten, this is a democracy, not a dictatorship. Anyone who imagine that a president simply issues orders doesn't know much about how the government is set up.

However, if you believe that Obama and Hillary are extremists, I guess there's no reasoning with you. In fact, the reason Democrats are disillusioned with both of them is because they're so centrist. But, yes, a guy making incendiary speeches and encouraging violence is deplorable, regardless of the result.

As you can see blisterpeanuts is being generous using the term "mediocre". Had I written this insightful post I would have used the word 'disastrous'.

Also I see referenced above (Voebe) an item from the propaganda rag "RawStory". This is the same online publication that claimed an Alabama Republican had authored a bill restricting welfare recipients from owning cars. Apparently someone told someone else who told RawStory that misinformation which, had they even read the bill, they would have discovered it was false. (On second thought, they probably did know it was false but it fits into their leftist meme and printed it anyway). The item in RS referred to above says "Trump Lies....According to Science". Okay, I suppose to the powers that be at that operation a bunch of people from Politico keeping track of items in a speech is science but, oh my, really folks. Think about it! Laughable. What a source!

I will vote for Trump or Cruz because we need a secure border to keep out heroin, meth, rapists and terrorists.
I will vote for Trump or Cruz because they will do what needs to be done to destroy radical muslim, islamists who are determined to destroy our lives and the lives of all our families.
I will vote for Trump or Cruz because they will fix health care and bring jobs back to this country.
Self preservation is a basic human instinct and I want to preserve the lives of my loved ones and that means not acting cowardly toward securing the border or destroying isis which is why I will vote for Trump or Cruz

I'm just curious whether any of you are aware that while at Wellesley College in Massachusetts, Hillary Clinton (then Hillary Rodham) became head of the local chapter of the Young Republicans...
