Hopefully for Arizona's sake their will be plenty of young, educated working class people in the mix, not just the typical old farts escaping winter elsewhere.

It won't be this baby boomer, you can count on that!
Well, even with us old farts moving here (me permanently) someone has to work to support the incoming population. Us old farts aren't going to be doing the work. Na na na na na......

Instead of educated folks moving to AZ, hope for hard working younger people. Well, if you want "the educated" to move in, then issue plenty of visas to immigrants from India and Asia, and you will have lots of engineers or all kinds, most with master degrees already. At the university I work at, most of the engineers come from Asia and India. These young students come here just to get their master degrees, and I have seen some that take care of it in two years. That smart they are. But while most know everything about the sciences, they have no idea how to turn a screwdriver or replace a flat tire

Right? Yet another knock on AZ: we don't issue enough visas!

I was just kidding in reference to being "educated" versus "work skills." I would not mind at all moving to some very small town that is over 4,500' + above sea level in AZ where I can live the rest of my retirement years. Twenty years in the military plus (within two years), 25 years in the private sector.

Holly cow! 45 years working

"Of course we know what a lug wrench is?"

Looks to the other two young people and asks, "Is this a lug wrench?"

There's yet one more example that advertising doesn't always work. It's advertising car insurance and I'm picking straws as to what one is being touted on that commercial - Liberty Mutual? It cracks me up at times when it's on, though. Dad taught me all of those essentials in plenty of time for me to be out and aboot driving on my own.

My daddy once told me what a lug wrench is.
A long time ago.
When I was young.
"It's a wrench for lugs".
