hoping this doesn't get relegated to the Politics forum...please keep this on topic related to Arizona

have been getting monthly-or-so mailings from my US representative, Martha McSally, using the taxpayer-funded franking privilege...though I'm a member of her political party, these thinly-veiled "campaign ads" irk me....I know the franking privilege has been much-debated for decades and is an easy target for taxpayers and non-incumbents.....certainly seems like self-serving, free campaign literature to me......

Arizonans: does your rep send you these "ads"?....what do you think as re-election time comes up?

thanks

Each member of Congress receives a mail allowance in their operation budget. Call it what you will. The taxpayer pays the bill either way with or without Franking. The use of Franking at least puts some constraints (however minimal) on what t they can use it for. It's a "no win" for the taxpayer.
The USPS is reimbursed for the expense according to Wikipedia.

I notice that the frequency increases as elections approach. Also the roads seem to be slurried , new road signs are installed, ribbon cutting ceremonies ... the list goes on.

This seems to flow down to even the county and city level. For example; Yavapai county seems to "need" a pubic information officer (POI) now.

wondering if any Arizonans are receiving "paid for by taxpayers" mailings from their US Representative these days....supposedly they are "progress reports", but, to me, they are thinly-veiled campaign re-election ads....

not a new issue, I know, but the seven or eight I've gotten from Martha McSally in my district in just the last several months stink.....she is in a tight re-election race (general election).....
