Hi everyone from Big D,

We plan to fly into San Jose, CA., maybe see Yosemite first, then the Grand Canyon and Monument Valley. What's the temp & weather like from 10-15 to 11-2 in Yosemite, AZ and UT? Any ideas about how to plan this driving trip, would like to include San Diego, just depends on the weather. Any and all tips or advise welcomed! :-)

Have a great day!

Ray

You can go to almost any WX listing and get the information. This one you just selection monthly when you type in the name of the place and it will show you this.
This one is for the Grand Canyon, about 125 miles north of me.

By the way, many have not seen the Grand Canyon during a major storm and it's very pretty. It can be a little hard to get around however. We are spending a few days on a trip there around the 1st of Nov again ourselves.

When checking the weather, remember that altitude matters greatly in Arizona. Flagstaff is going to be very different from Phoenix.

Having said that- I think snow is unlikely anywhere on those dates but below-freezing tempertures at night is likely at higher altitudes. Take warm clothing but also t shirts.

In Yosemite, they're probably going to recommend having chains available to put on your tires, "just in case" (at least that's what they have done in the past). Not that you have to have the chains on your tires, but have them in your trunk or wherever if you need them. (I seriously doubt you'll need them in October to early November—I sure never have—but I'm just saying.)

Enjoy your trip!
