I have taken sunsets from my balcony. The first one is from 2016 that I don't remember posting.

Photo thread-sunset2016.jpg

These are more recent sunsets. This one is looking northwest toward the Whetstones.

Next is looking west. Southern end of Whetstones in foreground. The higher mountain in the rear I think is at Patagonia and part of the Santa Rita mountains.

Last one is from tonight.

Got this during the last snowfall, which is rare down here in the valley. This was the Superstition mountain.

I don't know if anyone else is in Payson, but we got some serious snowfall up here over the past day. I would guess that we got about 24 inches over the past 36 hours; and, if I'm not mistaken, we are supposed to get more snow today.

Here are a few pics from the past few days.

This photo was taken 4 days ago, after we had gotten a little snow, on Monday, Feb. 18th:

And these photos were taken about an hour ago, on Friday, Feb. 22:

I've been back up in Payson for about 3 years and this is, by far, that most snow I've seen since moving back up here. I also lived up here for 16 years, from 1991 until 2007, and I recall getting some serious snowfall back then, but I don't know if it was as severe as this stuff. As I mentioned, it looks like we may have actually gotten 24 inches of snow, possibly, more than that. I actually work in the Valley and am supposed to work tonight, but it sounds like they will likely be closing both the southbound and northbound parts of the Beeline Hwy out of Payson. Plus, I don't know that I could even get my vehicle out of my driveway, if I wanted to.

Anyway, I hope y'all like the pics.

Wow! That's the most snow I've seen there in 20 years! Uhhh, doesn't look like you're going anywhere soon!

I lived in Payson 14 years and the biggest snowfall I remember was Christmas 1987. I worked at Kohl's Ranch for six years and always had an overnight bag in my car in case we got snowed in during work hours. I think I had to stay overnight twice. I am in awe how much it's snowed up there this time!

This is looking southwest towards the Huachucas. The vertical white splotch is snow dripping off my balcony.

Below is looking northwest at the Whestones from my balcony. Snow was already melting
