My family still owns a home in northern Arizona, and one of our neighbors there went through something similar. Their property is across the street, but on what you'd call a "corner lot", and I want to say it was electricity that they had trouble accessing. (not sure if the neighbors had been aware of this issue before they bought the property/built their house, or not)

What ended up happening was that the local power company had to run extra lines from the power pole on our property, across the street to the neighbor's house.

This is not true. I recently moved from CA to AZ. A few weeks ago I went to AZ DOT in Tucson to get an AZ drivers license and it was quick and easy. I did not take any written or road driving test. I showed them my valid CA driver's license and was issued an AZ license with my AZ address on it. The only test required was a vision check to read one line of letters.

The DMV suggests otherwise on their page, but I'm glad it's wrong. I have a CDL A with motorcycle endorsement and it would be a headache..

It's crazy that unlivable = No HBO or deep-freezer
