Heck - they can't even stop the invasion across the Mexican border, they sure aren't going to spot my Arizona orange!
As a truck driver, I can tell you that one other thing is checked for at the California Ag Stations, if a truck is pulling a "bale load" (generally crushed cubes of either cardboard or metal), which aren't sealed, they'll have you pop open the trailer for them, and that's to check for aluminum cans or plastic or glass bottles, due to California having bottle deposit

Interesting I would like to ask what do they check on the checkpoint on the Arizona side? It wasn’t open most of the time, but lane changing is forbidden for a mile and signs ask for a reduced speed. I saw someone with California plates stopped by Sheriff with a siren shortly after this strip. Maybe they changed lanes in defiance of the sign or the solid lines.

It’s Interesting to wonder whether solid lines, sometimes split 3 ft apart for the carpool lanes can be crossed in Phoenix, Arizona, as unlike carpool lanes in SoCal and express lanes in Bay Area there are just no breaks in the solid lines whatsoever that allows drivers to enter and exit the lane. I see people crossing the solid lines to get in and out otherwise it would be impossible to enter or exit the lane until you drive out of the metro area completely. essentially the solid lines span all the way from the beginning to the end of the lane across the Phoenix metro area.

Somewhere I heard the checkpoints are amounts the biggest employers in Blythe,ca and Ehrenburg, AZ as there isn’t but other employement available. And that Lake Havasu is a better place for Workamping.

Best place to get seasonal work is Quartzsite. The population grows from several thousand to numbers approaching 100,000 due to the RV'ers and snowbirds. You can "live" at the La Posa LTVA (Long Term Visitor Area. The permit fee is $180 for camping from Sep 15 though April 15 (6 months for $180!! ) It includes Water and trash bins and RV tank dumping. They have restrooms for tent campers. BYOTP
You can get mail delivery at General Delivery at the Post Office.
Cell phone towers in town for both ATT and Verizon and the companies they share.
You can get a library card at the Quartzsite Library (residency not required) and check out DVD's (may require a deposit) and Free internet there also.
There is plenty of service work for RELIABLE workers at subsistence pay. It's insanely crowded starting before the holidays until February then it's a ghost town. I lived there during the summer but .........You don't want to do that!

Thanks coop01 your answer is the best. I will look into Quartzsite. They appear to have most resources compared with Blythe and the city bordering in Arizona.

I am in this thought camp as well. If you have to work, you are not retired. Don't live full time in an RV if you are not financially able to do so without working like a dog in an Amazon warehouse. In my case, if I wanted to be working at my age I would have stayed on as an IT contractor earning about 3 times what those chump change workamper jobs pay. Remember, having a job keeps you anchored where you are. Is that why you bought an RV?

As far as California, until they start understanding and respecting that the 2nd Amendment is an amendment like the others, I will never set foot or wheel into California. I refuse to have some draconian liberals deny me my right to bear arms. They actually run a background check to buy ammo!!! Doesn't it seem logical that if I can provide a valid CCW permit, that I have already passed a stringent background check? Not for California, apparently. It's what I expect from a state that allows people to declare what gender they wish they were.... I think your chromosome count decides that...... If you have a Y, you are male. Case closed.

But I digress. If you still need to earn money, so be it. However, if that is the case, reconsider your choice to live in an RV full time.
