I am trying to plan when to come up to see all the leaves and colors

Have they changed or started changing yet? I was planning the last weekend of October. I think that'd be just in peak? I don't wanna miss it this year!! I saw the predictions and maps, etc but was hoping for some real time, boot on the grounds info.

Thanks

I'm in the Verde Valley, colors seem to be late this year. I've always hiked west fork in Oak Creek around Mid October for the colors, this year everything seems later. The local paper just published there prediction for color, saying next week for the peak. I went up to the San Francisco peaks last Wednesday, the Aspens still hadn't fully turned. I usually do that trip on Oct 4th.

Good to know because I'm waiting for the leaves to change as well.

Interesting, I'd think that all the rain we have received would facilitate the changing.
