Pretty funny. Back in the 80's they started one of their tours in Tucson. Flew in a day early to record some music to walk out on stage to. A friend of mine worked at the recording studio that they picked and was given the job of grabbing them at the airport, then drive them to the studio. Said it was like having a German version of Spinal Tap in the back seat.

I have not suffered a scorpion sting in bed or elsewhere. I've never had a scorpion in my home.

Ooooh, yay! Another fun scorpion thread!

50+ years here and have NEVER seen one in any of my residences, and yes...I have a black light.
I use the light to look after my naughty dog.

I've never made a home for, and I've never been in a home with a scorpion.

And I've never been in bed with a scorpion.

Yes, I was stung at least 3 times in my Chandler home. (For some reason, they seem to LOVE Chandler). Never in bed. Once on the inner thigh when I put on my shorts that I had left on the floor at night. Ouch ! That one really hurt. Once found one in the bathtub. I sprayed around the outside house 3-4 times a year. Seemed to help somewhat.

The Scorpions actually stopped in Tucson on one of their tours? Wow, would need to check that out while you have the chance, eh?

Not to take this thread too far off topic but back in the 70's & 80's Tucson was one stop of the I-10 heavy metal highway. Tons of bands played in Tucson at the TCC, even Led Zep played there.

I've seen one in my house before, but have never been stung by one. It was in my bathtub, and I screamed upon seeing it, as scorpions are one of the few things I'm afraid of.

We have scorps but have black lighted and sprayed and got rid of most of them except for the poor dudes that wander into my yard. lol

It's either rats or scorps and I can't decide which would be worse. Phoenix has a lot of places without them but those places have big rats so I'm not sure I would want to trade. They really do a number on your wiring, house, and car.

I check everything by habit now and always wear flip flops although their tail can get you over the top of flip flops so don't step on one purposefully. Get some tennies on first.
