4 years between Phoenix and N. AZ, I never even saw a scorpion in any of my homes. Work, school, outside the home ~ yes, but not inside.

It’s just a yes or no poll. Are you asking about in-bed stings only? The wording is off.

We moved to Medford, Oregon in 1995. On our front porch waiting to greet us was a Black Widow spider. Not a scorpion, but pretty scary. I'm glad we were paying attention. I was lot's of Scorpions, but never stung.

I've only seen scorpions in the zoo. Not even out in the wild surprisingly. But if you really afraid of desert lobsters (as I like to call them), don't live in a rural area. And live a couple stories up if possible, scorpions like the dirt.

For the people who have been stung by a scorpion, is it about on par with a bee/wasp/hornet sting as far as painfulness?
