Anyone have anything to say, good or bad, about Lake Havasu City? A co-worker has a house there loves it, but I am looking for second, third.... opinions.

Thanks

Ive been here about a month now. Nice place. Traffic this time of year is supposed to be about double what it is after the snowbirds leave. But I dont find it all that bad right now. Maybe Prescott Valley level traffic.

I dont like how isolated it is from other larger population areas. Its a drive to get anywhere youd wanna go.

Lake is of course beautiful. London Bridge area is cool to walk around and have something to eat

It's a party city inundated by California boaters and it gets very very hot in the summer.

I would take Laughlin, instead. More to do...if you can control your gamblin'. The boaters are huge, selfish idiots just about everywhere...jetskiers worse.

Looking for a place to retire. Am also considering Prescott, but don't like cold (have cold feet in 60-degree weather. Not a fan of excess heat either, but can't have everything.

My co-worker describes it as 3 months of HUGE heat and 9 months of very nice weather.

Is there a Costco, by chance?

Much hotter. Holds record for AZ at 128F. Has more over 120 degree days than any other AZ city.

Nope.

Kingman doesn't have one, either. If I lived in LHC, I'd take a run up to Las Vegas/Henderson once a month or so. Take a cooler.

It's either that or Prescott.
