Lol... it’s not like they’re putting alligators in the lake. Not gonna be like Jaws where swimmers are in danger. Muskie are great fighters and fun to try and catch.

Those critters will hit some 3' in length and eat like crazy. They said currently in another article I saw that the reason they are doing this is that 80% of the bass in the lake are under 8".
When they eat all the bass and other species, I am thinking that they will regret that decision in the future.
I knew of a lake in CA a few years back and someone put a few non native Muskies, I think they were, or something very similar. I think it was Lake Davis in the Sierras N. of Tahoe area near Quincy.
The aggressive fish ate all the trout and other species in the lake. Last I heard is that they have attempted to kill the lake off a couple of times.

Why couldn't they PAY PEOPLE TO catch all the extra bass in the lake and release them into another area that was bass filled? Why all the science to release an unatural fish. I wonder how they taste. Mutant fish

Muskie are very similar to pike but get a little bigger. I've read that there are some pike in AZ. Back in MI, Muskie fishing is very popular, but they are hard to catch, mainly because the populations in a given lake is never very big. I don't think their population explodes like some other fish species. This shouldn't be a problem. I never have caught a muskie, but pike are fun as heck. Best inland lake fighter I've every caught.
