Default Mammoth Anyone??

In reponse to the question about Mammoth Bar it and Roy's tavern have been closed for close to one year both are for sale NO liquor license available.
That ends any bars in Mammoth once know for them.
We moved here about 3 yrs ago. and it is AZ best kept secret.

There was news today about the Mammoth Bar in the Miner (local paper). It stated: "There were suggestions for Tom Kittle, the owner of the Mammoth Bar Building. Suggestions included: a teen center, a day care facility, and to re-open it as a bar. Kittle said even though a liquor license went with the property he really was not interested in running a bar. However comments made during the discussion from council and audience indicated that some people would like to have a bar in town "instead of going out of town to drink". " There is other information posted that the town council discussed, but that was all that was said of the Mammoth Bar. Hope this helps!

My thought is this. In such a small town, why would you need to have a lively bar activity going on? Why not buy your liquor and party at home? Invite your friends, too! With the problems there seem to have been with maintaining an open licensed bar in the town, I wonder why there really has to be one!
