https://spectator.us/where-deaths-coronavirus-wave/
The AZDHS data dashboard on deaths doesn't say that.

Nearly half from a county that has well over half of the state population. Reservations have a very high number by population.

And how does that make this, “The Arizona mortalities are concentrated on Indian reservations and to a lesser extent around the Mexican border” any more true? It’s just as false as it was prior to the statement above.

If half the deaths are in one county that’s not on the border and is excluding reservations, how could the deaths possibly be concentrated on the border and on reservations?

Thanks. Nice to be able to check my zip code.

85205 where I live has a population of 47,206 and 256 cases but no idea how many actually died.

(Of course, one death is too many esp. when that person is a loved one.)

Re: Indian reservations.

“Five tribes are experiencing more instances of coronavirus per 100,000 citizens than any states, including New York,” the Minnesota Democrat said, citing data from the American Indian Studies Center at UCLA and Indian Country Today.

According to a data visualization posted by UCLA researchers, if COVID-19 infection rates were scaled per 100,000 people and if tribes were states, the top five infection rates nationwide would be tribes. The Navajo Nation ranks fifth in the highest number of cases per capita, the data said.

Per 100,000 yes it is higher on the reservations but that is not what you said. You do realize that the reservations are lightly populated compared to the Phoenix area?

You said:

The Arizona mortalities are concentrated on Indian reservations and to a lesser extent around the Mexican border.

Reality is about 170 natives have died out of the more than 1500 total deaths. So they are a little over 10%. And near the border? Yuma has had lots of deaths but Santa Cruz and Cochise counties have not had that many.

A biased source trying to say that the crisis isn't a problem. It clearly is.

Interesting today that Pence went to Texas and for the first time wore a mask getting off the plane and when he met the Texas governor who was also wearing a mask. Between the different speakers they said wear a mask at least 50 times.

If the Trump administration sets a smarter tone their base will follow along. Even Ducey might put one on.

Unlike Trump, Pence encourages wearing masks to prevent coronavirus spread

Ducey has indeed wore a mask. However, he hasn't done that good response wise. The Republicans on a whole want us to return to normalcy without a true plan. Trump had the two weeks downward trend which many states flubbed the numbers to make it look like they did. Trump relented to the Republican governors doing it with or without the flubbed stats.

Yes, I was wrong and can't access the page for to see what exactly was said.

Nevertheless the Indian Reservations have a serious problem.
