My wife and I are doing a road trip to the Phoenix/Tucson/Flagstaff area starting next week for two weeks. We just read an article in CNN that a gas shortage is likely in AZ and a couple of other states. This shortage stems not from the lack of gasoline itself, but from a lack of qualified tanker truck drivers, resulting in an approximate 25% reduction of truck drivers. Can any Arizona resident shed light on this? We chose Arizona so we could do a nature vacation as safely and socially distanced while still enjoying ourselves. But if there is indeed a gas shortage, we'll need to adjust our plans accordingly. Thanks.

Destination areas "might" have shortages according to some reports. Doubt we will be stuck in our tracks. If it happens at least it will happen at a more convenient time for many.

I saw the same story. We've had gasoline supply disruptions here in past years. I don't let the tank drop below half during those time, and yes I realize everyone doing this just exacerbates the problem. Oh well.
