This news came from a local ABC affiliate, not a Fox one. https://www.abc15.com/news/state/ari...ing-vaccinated

Quote:
TUCSON, AZ — An Arizona State Representative says she has tested positive for COVID-19 even after being vaccinated.
In a statement released Wednesday night, Representative Alma Hernandez (D-Tucson, District 3) said she tested positive for the virus Wednesday.
Hernandez says she, "has taken COVID-19 very seriously and have worn my mask, washed my hands, and socially distanced."
She went on to say that despite those measures and being vaccinated she has come down with COVID-19.
Since she had worn a mask, could be possible then she got a low-quality model?

No. But it is possible that she understood masks are NOT FOR SELF PROTECTION and that by wearing her mask, she likely infected fewer (if any) people than she might have otherwise.

Touching things is an unlikely way to catch it - this is documented.

It leaves "social distance."

For me and you, that may be possible. But how is it possible for a state representative to stay away from all people, all the time? Is she married? Or significant other? Children? Parents? Has she seen ANY OF THEM in the past two weeks? ANY OF THEM could have given it to her, since she is unlikely to distance in her own home, and her family is not wearing masks there, either.

Again - it would not be surprising to catch COVID while wearing a mask - because the main role of the mask is to prevent an ALREADY SICK PERSON from spreading it to others.

No one has ever said that the vaccine or masks are 100% effective. This isn't particularly earth-shattering news.

A local Fox affiliate has no connection to Fox News. People are so dense.

That's not at all true. Who do you think they are AFFLIATEd with? Separate ownership, but contractually obligated to carry Fox programming, which usually means their messaging. Yes, "people are so dense".

If anything it sounds like the vaccine is doing what it is supposed to do -- giving her very mild symptoms rather that spending weeks in the hospital on oxygen.

Sorry, I forgot I need to make things more clear for you. A local Fox affiliate does not lean Right when it comes to their reporting. They are no different than the ABC affiliate the OP alluded to. People hear Fox, and they think it's the boogeyman or something.
