Phoenix area really looking hard at. I understand the political warning for this board but without starting a ****storm but this is an Arizona specific question do you see this state moving left or right generally going forward? I’m also looking at Florida and Texas and for you guys that have lived in one or the other I would love to hear your thoughts for comparison sake. Thanks a lot.

I see AZ current leadership as ranked 3rd, after TX and FL.

Given the radical, unhinged nature of the AZ GOP, the state is moving further left. The AZ GOP is a laughing stock. It would be different if we had normal fiscal conservatives to choose from.

I wouldn't go quite that far...I would say moving toward center. But yes, they are unhinged.

Radical, unhinged politicians on both sides of the aisle are just the ones that scream the loudest. In general, AZ is a purple state that almost has a very libertarian feel to it. It's very "live and let live." Even though we supposedly have "very radical" politicians, our state is anything but. Our policies are pretty normal and relative to the Constitution.

AZ has been pretty Purple historically. We have had D and R Governors, D and R Senators and Representatives...state Congress is pretty locked up as R...it really depends on where you live and what not. Most folks are just content to leave each other alone.

I will say that it really doesn't matter one way or the other, they are all a bunch of corrupt politicians looking for more power and money. If you look at the number of registered voters though, R has the most, followed by Independents and then D. At least last time I looked.

**EDIT***

Interesting thing I just noticed...looks like we LOST 130k Registered voters between 2020 and the August Primaries 2022

Considering we added 100k people between 2020 and 2021...the numbers seem a bit odd. Conservatively estimating that of those 100k we added, 50% we age eligible voters? So we lost 180k registered voters between 2021 and 2022 or 360k people? Hmmmm. Doesn't jive considering the observed number of people still moving here.

There were 3,985,210 registered voters for the 2020 primary election, and 4,281,152 for the 2020 general election.

For the 2022 primary there were 4,156,067 registered voters, so 170,857 more than for the 2020 primary. Let's wait to see what the number is for this year's general election.

Let's talk about the weather. Arizona is a dry hot. Arid. It has beautiful desert, mountains, streams, lakes depending upon where you go, but it's arid.

Florida and Texas are a wet hot. Humid. Terrible storms. Now we've seen Texas go through a deep freeze because of the lacking infrastructure.

I'd never live in Texas or Florida, because I love Arizona. But I'm wondering whether you like wet heat or dry heat because all three places have intense heat. You just need to decide what you like and/or what you want to deal with.
