Live on a large rural property outside of Phoenix. Life happened, I wasn't able to keep up on weed control like I normally do, and I have the beginnings of a jungle growing again. Being rural desert, cutting isn't really an option, as it just sends rocks flying towards every piece of glass I own...already broke two windows last time trying that (no idea how it even happened...always made sure to have the exit chute of the mower deck aimed away from the house, and yet....), and I don't really have the time nor desire to make it a regular cutting ritual either.

I've been putting down 41% Glysophate, mixed a bit heavy and ran through a boom sprayer hanging off the tractor, and it worked well up until the pandemic/supply chain crisis hit. Last time I wasn't able to get the Farmworks I normally get, and was only able to get the Compare-N-Save stuff...which was worthless. I swear it must have been fertilizer in a glysophate jug, because it didn't do JACK for killing even the thinnest grass, and I swear I saw new growths only a few days later.

I was going to change over to the RM43 stuff - Glysophate & Imazampyr to hopefully spread out applications a bit more, but at $180/2.5 gallons, that's gonna get pretty expensive pretty quick. Is there a more economical way to get this stuff without stepping up to something like a 55 gallon drum worth?

Actually thinking about just buying a box blade for the tractor at this point...but there's plenty of areas that I can't get the tractor in to that will need spraying anyways.

A couple of goats or cows will get that in shape.

Vinegar, salt and dish soap water mix. I use it on my drive way and fence line. It kills everything. I don't use it on woody plants.

Aren't you supposed to mix that concentration down quite a bit? I was thinking 1-5%? That would give you a lot more coverage.

Yes, that 2.5 gallon container of 41% glyphosate, diluted to a 5% spray solution will make 50 gallons....and 5% is pretty stout.

What mix? Deployed in a sprayer?

I'm interested.

I have a weedburner that works, but we get the no burn season as I have a 2 acre plot in city limits, and that is too much to pull if I cant use my weed burner.
