Yeah, now we can get programs cut.

I'm not thrilled at all that she's leaving, but I don't understand why she's head of Homeland Security?

The state will be taking a step backward, that's for sure. Her appointment is political, of course, but she is from a border state that has to deal with illegals, border security, drugs, etc. That's a lot more than Tom Ridge had going for him. Hopefully, she puts the NG back on the border - in an expanded role.

Perhaps not.

Remember the economy will influence decisions in Wash DC to the USA's benefit

Well at least Arizona can get back to the honesty and integrity of another Fife "I'm not a crook (either)" Symington, or Jane "I don't participate in government, it participates in me!" Hull.

Not being vitriolic and political or nothing...just saying ^_^

Because she can be counted on to talk a lot about the necessity, but actually do little or nothing to secure the borders. She doesn't want the southern border secured any more than either Bush or Obama do.

She is probably thrilled to leave - she's left an economic mess behind. I suspect she'll create another mess where she's going.

The GOOD NEWS is that Jan Brewer will now be governor. That thought has a lot of Arizonans cheering - and others gnashing their teeth, LOL!!
