I will soon be transferring to a city called Bullhead AZ. My question is it advantageous to live in Laughlin NV because of their no state tax law? Would they still not take state taxes out for the state I am employed or would I be able to retrieve those back at the end of the year due to living in Laughlin NV? I am relatively new at this and ANY assistance would be welcomed! I am from the Midwest and I noticed I will be losing money as the rent is much higher there than where I live and I need to do what is beneficial to me...or does it really matter??? Please let me know! Thank you all that respond to my question.

Default Taxes

Mary: I believe you will need to pay state taxes in the state you live in, not work in. Simply put, you pay taxes to that state for the privilege of their services as a resident.

But being famuliar with the area, if I were you I would try and live in Laughlin or Needles California rather than Bullhead. Laughlin is still small enough and friendly enough to feel a sence of community.... Just to let you know, I am an Arizona gal all the way, but Bullhead is not a friendly place to live these days.

Good luck!

I spend a lot of time in Havasu. Been to Laughlin a few times; don't ever really remember seeing any housing. Where is it at? I always thought everyone had to live in Bullhead and work in Laughlin.

Laughlin's neighborhoods are west of the casinos, up in the hills. Unless you are specifically going there, they are not very visible. You will not see them from the casinos. The majority of the people who work in the casinos, do live in Bullhead.
