Is there a more beautiful STATE flag than the Moderator cut: link removed, linking to competitor sites is not allowedState of Arizona's[/url]? If so, which one?

really?

I'm not a fan of the AZ flag at all. I get what it stands for, I just think it looks a little ragged. Especially once the sun hits it for a few days.

I tend to like the state flags that have their seal and moto on them. States like NY, Nebraska, Virginia & Minnesota.

I also kind of like the state flag of CA.

Rhode Island's anchor & "hope" are pretty sweet

And I love the look of South Carolina.

I like the red, white & blue of Missouri & Texas

and I love the buffalo in Wyoming

Iowa is graphically pleasing and dynamic because of all those ribbon curls:
Michigan is pretty neat, too.

P.S. What in the world is going on with Maryland - holy smokes! Talk about a combo breaker.

I do like Michigan's. I love how it has different representations. And the mottos on it
Quote:
The design features three Latin mottos. From top-to-bottom they are:

1. On red ribbon: E Pluribus Unum, "Out of many, one", a motto of the United States
2. On light blue shield: Tuebor, "I will defend"
3. On white ribbon: Si Quaeris Peninsulam Amoenam Circumspice, "If you seek a pleasant peninsula, look about you" (the official state motto)
Whaddya know! NAVA voted AZ's one of their top ten. New Mexico was their fave. Seems they don't care for the state seal type flags.
