I am looking to move to Arizona and I was wondering where would be the best place be according to my criteria...

I have a toddler, so a good place to raise a family
don't care for creepy, crawly bugs/reptiles
don't want colder than freezing temps (32 degrees)
nearby shopping centers/malls
lower commute time
safety/low crime rate
sunshine & fresh air is a must
good schools

No specifics on housing costs or job growth needed.

Is there such a place?

Temperature wise, if you don't want freezing or below on a regular basis, (it happens overnight occasionally here-- this winter has been very mild) you need to stay in the lower desert. In the Phoenix area, Tempe, Gilbert, Mesa, Chandler, (and parts of Phoenix) all would generally meet your criteria. When you say "lower commute time" I would have to know where you are commuting TO. (you don't say anything about job location, etc.) The whole bug/reptile issue gets way overblown, to my mind, as far as the metro area is concerned. Shopping/malls are abundant. Fresh air? Well, that's a relative term, in the city, but except for some issues at times in the winter, air quality in the Valley is better than in a lot of cities.

Phoenix winters can often drop to below 32 at night, but not all that often. I have woken up and my grass is frozen before.

I would suggest moving to North Phoenix, North Scottsdale, or Glendale. All of these areas offer what you are looking for.

Ahwatukee. It is an area in Phoenix but, the schools are amazing (see Desert Vista HS) and the homes are fair in price. It is in a very safe and cozy South Mountain preserve. We looked in Scotsdale and Chandler... this was just it at first sight.

If you don't care for bugs/reptiles why would you want to move to Arizona - the reptile central.

It isn't as if everyone has to fend off marauding bugs and reptiles at their doors. Yes, they are part of the wildlife, but I'm willing to bet there are people who've lived here a LONG time and haven't seen a scorpion, gila monster, or any other significant bug or reptile (and I'm not including bugs you can find in ANY state, like crickets, cockroaches, termites, etc.) So one can move to Arizona and love it even if such critters are not on their favorites list.

Depends on where you are commuting to, but I'd say Ahwatukee, Chandler or Gilbert

I'm sure there is plenty of people who live in the concrete desert of AZ that haven't seen scorpions, reptiles etc. If we use your analogy I'm sure there is plenty of AZ natives that haven't seen the Grand Canyon either. However, the OP posted that fresh air is a must. Therefore, you have a choice: You can live in the city filled with concrete and pollution minus the bugs/reptiles or, you can live in the surrounding areas with wildlife and breathe fresh air. If you know of a place with fresh air and no wildlife, please let us know.

Well, I was referring to those in the "concrete desert" or urban areas. It just seems that we get a lot of out of state posters that think that we are generally just overrun with poisonous insects, snakes, etc. There were other places I would have suggested, further north with better air, if temps below 32 were not also on her list (i.e. I don't think Prescott or Flagstaff are overrun with creepy crawlies either.) She also wants malls nearby... that takes a lot of other fresh air locations off the list.
