A black-light is what is needed. The same thing they use in hotel rooms to find unclean conditions.

I got mine from Gander Mountain (if you guys have one out there). It was only $15 (!!!) and works like a charm. It has two blacklight tubes, one regular flourescent tube and a swiveling flashlight head.

Make sure you have a flashlight with you as well as some good snake boots. Remember, rattlesnakes dont glow. More than once Ive been blacklighting in AZ and run across rattlesnakes, one I almost stepped on. It wouldnt be fun spending vacation in a hospital...
