Just throwing out a question out there to anyone living in Arizona - Where would you live if you could have a second home in Arizona? And why?

Patagonia!! Love it love it love it. A really cute little sleepy town, beautiful hills, greener than much of AZ, and relatively undiscovered.

Oh sorry!! I think I misread the question. I was saying where in AZ I'd have a 2nd home.

patagonia is in a remote area southeast of tucson, and northeast of nogales.

your question really depends on what it is you're looking for. is this a place you'd be spending the winter in or summer? and are you looking for big city or small town?

If I was going to purchase a 2nd home in AZ I would pick a central Scottsdale location like McCormick Ranch or McDowell Mountain Ranch. The reason behind this, is that since this would be my second home and time here may be limited, I would want a great location that is surrounded by all the ammenities that so many people like to flock to here (golf, shopping, restaurants, ball games, hiking etc.)

My main objective would be finding a place where my commute time is short to do the things that I enjoy.

Pine/Strawberry because it's beautiful, peaceful, and cool in the summer. Plus plenty of outdoor activities from your front door with out the crowds of people. They have many little shops and restaurants for the tourists. Must check out!

I personally am looking for a winter home - warmth and beauty is high on my list. Open to city or small town - depends on price of condo or single family home. Thought I would throw the question out there because so many people are living in or near Phoenix because of work not because of ideal location for their family - commuting seems to be an issue for many.
Thanks for the responses.
