We recently visited family in Kingman AZ. My husband had never been out west before. We currently live in South Carolina.
We instantly liked it there! We have decided we would like to relocate there so that we can be near family.
Any comments would be greatly appreciated. I had read some other threads. One of the concerns was that the Kingman area had a high drug problem. Is this true? Of course I know this occurs everywhere, but didn't know if it was a REAL BIG problem there.
Our only other drawback of moving there is unfortunately the work my husband does is not in that area. He is a cabinet builder for aircraft. So he would have to look at doing something else. I am in the clerical field, so looking at job posts, it doesn't seem like it would be a problem for me.
It would be my husband, me and our 15 year old son. He loved it there, partly because of the family. He does not like it here. We have only lived here for a year so he has not become attached to the area.
Thanks for any comments and suggestions.

Kingman like everywhere else in the country has people that use drugs. It is a very small ratio no big deal.
Most of the larger employeers have drug screening and that also keeps them out of the mainstream.
So come on in.

Did you, in fact, move to Kingman? If so, has it met your expectations? We are seriously considering moving there, but are wondering about crime, cost of living, grocery stores etc. Thank you for any help you can provide.

The poster you are responding to or asking a question hasn't been back to the forum since 2007. I doubt they will see your posts.
