Welcome to city-data. Your answer depends on the time of day and starting point in BHC. If you have exact addresses, plug them into Map Quest or Yahoo Maps.

I ran just that commute for a few weeks in 2005 (actually downtown Kingman to Fort Mohave, S of BHC); it was 47 miles each way via. Hwy 68 and it took almost an hour. The biggest annoyance was my ears popping heading down the steep hill (6-7% grade for 12 miles) from Golden Valley to the Laughlin Bridge.

Did the yahoo map thing. But I know from experience sometimes they are not accurate. We will be moving out to Arizona later this month or January. Husband will have a job in Kingman. Unfortunetly we are seeing more homes we like at or close to Bullhead City. Just wondering from people who might drive that route what the actual (normal) driving time is.

That's rather surprising. Kingman has a huge diversity of homes ranging from shacks to multi-million dollar estates. Lots of new neighborhoods in the better school districts too, if you're into that. Lots of people live in Kingman and commute to Bullhead for work. But this would be the first time I've heard of somebody going the other way. Bullhead is one of the hottest cities in America. 110F and up are common occurrences. You might want to have a realtor show you around Kingman before you make any hasty decisions.

I +3rd you guys there. Typically; people commute from Kingman to either BHC or LHC-----------not the other way around.

If I had my druthers; I would prefer to live (downtown) and work in Kingman.......despite its winters being a tad colder than I like

Wow, thanks for that info. We are in Ohio right now. Our neighbors are far apart. I guess its just that all the houses (rentals) i've looked at seem to be right on top of each other. I need space. We are looking for $800 a month or below, but not a mobile home. The pay rate from what i see is considerably lower out there. So i can't go by our income here.
