How is it in Sierra Vista?
Schools?
Crime?
Jobs?
Houses?
Where/what part of Sierra Vista should I look into moving to? Avoid?
etc?
Thanks.

There have been a number of Sierra Vista threads. If you search for those threads, I think all of your questions have been answered.

I will say that Sierra Vista is a nice town with a great climate. It is a "military town" with the Army base (not sure if that's why you're considering a move there or not), and that creates it's own benefits and problems.

Anyway, good luck!

I agree with the previous post. I live near the Mall and just went through another strange Christmas. Because there are so many military who leave during the holidays and the wind is bad this time of year, the mall didn't even decorate for Christmas. The town is suffering delayed reaction to the recession. Jobs are good, best in Arizona, but the company that owns the mall has filed for bankruptcy. we have lost several other resturants, stores and car dealerships to the same thing.

Too close to the border, too many fed and state law enforcement agencies, people not particularly friendly (especially the military folk; very stand offish), jobs are sketchy like elswhere and no particular cultural stimulation either. Lived 45 miles east of there for 18 years. 12 years ago it was booming and I still didn't care for it except to go to home depot.
