As an aside, I read recently that the burros were getting too fat, and they now discourage people from feeding them. Although, I forget who "they" is. Either the town or wildlife commission, etc. I haven't been there in a while, so I can't confirm that first-hand.
Here are two wild burros I stumbled upon on a hike through Secret Pass in the Black Mountains. These guys are more attractive than anything I've seen in Oatman.
Yeah, very nice looking animals in your shot there. Most definitely less obese than the ones in Oatman. Still, it's pretty cool having the burros in Oatman. I mean lets face it - Oatman is a dump, but the burros there give it a degree of charm and I'm happy they draw visitors to a place that otherwise would like dry up and blow away. The fact that the locals seems to be trying to improve the appearance of the town with some of that money is an added plus - especially since we LOVE visiting those old Route 66 towns (Kingman included) - even the dumpy ones.

This tells you about them:

Wild Burros of Oatman, Arizona pack animals left behind by gold miners

It's pretty funny - it's almost as if they clock-in 9-5 - showing up each morning (as if for work) and then heading out of town each evening.

I personally would choose Colorado--cleaner air, friendlier people, better education, the Rocky Mts, Denver is a great city, and I'm sure their economy will improve long B4 Arizona. Arizona's economy is just too small to support its 6.5 mill population.

LOLOLOL....

Why should we ever expect anything good to come out of your mouth regarding anything AZ??? Because based on your daily posts, you are constantly bashing AZ every chance you get. I think it is time that YOU move to Colorado. I'm frankly tired of the negative Nancys who are always complaining about AZ. If you don't like it so much, please LEAVE!

Arizona's "economy" is larger than that of Wisconsin, where you claim to be moving to and a state that is roughly the same population as AZ.

That poster is on his or her way to WI, where he or she will take a job away from a WI resident, after railing here for months about people coming here and taking jobs from people who live here. Hopefully, once back in WI, this person will be happy on the WI forum.

Just remember, the more dumpy it is, the more authentic it is! Take Seligman for example.
