I can play with my kids outside during the day and not sweat. It is great.

I would never live in the phx area again. I would move back to Northern Arizona like Springerville or Eagar. The economy sucks there.

Money is nice here but it is less. But my quality of life is better!

Its the quality of life that counts. Sent you brief message.
Wow I just realized this was a resurrected message...from over 2 years ago! Boy my point of view has changed since then.

It can be interesting looking over old threads. Our attitudes do change. It also makes me wonder what became of all the people who contributed and debated but are no longer to be found on the forum. Some, I know, now spend their days in the politics and religion areas, but for others, I guess they got a life.

If you could move to AZ, what would be your reason.

-Yes i would, reason would be for seeing the sun more, better weather, love the mexican food, love riding quads and sand dunes!

Would you be moving to escape the high cost of living in other areas?

No, fairly low cost of living here in Michigan, but not alot of opportunities around me to better myself.

Would you move for the scenery?

Yes, love the desert, red rocks, sedona, cactuses, and also love the sand dunes. Glamis is very close to Arizona!!!!!

Would you move for family or other similar reason?

Family makes my decision harder to move.....and also the reason why my wife never wants to move.

Move you move to escape cold weather?

Damn straight, its 42 degrees here today, rainy, and 25-35 mph winds........its friggin depressing!

If you already live in Arizona and love it there, why?

My Mom and Step Dad made the move to Goodyear last year and have loved every second of life out there.

I would like to hear reasons why people would want to move to Arizona, often there are very negative posts from people who hate the state or want to leave and it can get depressing.

I moved here to be closer to Las Vegas. I am happier here than I was back east. It's a good place for retirees who are active. I get static shocks from the dry air summer and winter, but a small price to pay. It takes more effort for me to be comfortable, so I don't take anything, including water, for granted. I find that I don't need rooms and rooms full of furniture. Can't beat the sunsets, and stars at night. The people are a resilient lot.

Default move to WI

i live in wi and want to move to az, lol. the winters here are brutal and they last 6 mths. if you really don't like the heat maybe move somewhere like denver where the weather is more moderate. i lived there for 7 yrs. and really enjoyed all the sunny days even when it got a bit cold.

Moved to Havasu a dozen years ago to escape the bitter cold and snow of the Rocky Mtn area and have never regretted it. When the summers seem too hot and too long we take a 3 - 4 hr trip to Williams or Flagstaff to recharge. When the winters seem a bit too cold we again take a trip to Williams or Flagstaff and realize how good we really have it in Havasu.

The first time, I moved to Arizona because Uncle Sam told me to.

The second time, I moved to Arizona because I couldn't wait to get back. I did not realize how much I would miss it. It's my favorite of the 50 states.

Not sure if I have posted this before, so please bear with me

Hindsight being 20/20 and knowing what I do now; I would have moved to Az 10 years earlier than I did (1979 vs. 1989), I left Wash DC for California in 1978.
