Again, thank you. I have been reading as many posts as possible on both these places, so I am sorry if I am repeating previous questions.

You're absolutely welcome. A thank you goes a long way with me and I'm sure most folks in this forum. Believe it or not, it's a rare thing for some people to return and say thank you after getting their questions answered. Feel free to keep the questions coming.

Hey there Kdog, it's been a while. Got another question for you. While waiting to hear back from the job opportunity in Kingman, we also go another offer in Tempe. Any opinions or statements about that area?

Well, Tempe is part of the Phoenix metro urban sprawl and nothing like Kingman. There are 4.4 million people in the Phoenix area and less than 50,000 in the Kingman metro area. So going there from Fremont would be like going from the frying pan into the fire. Plus you have that gawd-awful heat for six months of the year. On the other hand, you'd have better shopping and restaurant selections. Still, I'm glad I don't live there. You might want to post a note on the Phoenix subforum and see what they say.

No! It will be a great place to raise kids and the critters you mention are not an issue unless you go looking for them and you'll come accross them occationally while hiking, riding quads, motorcycles, etc. The heat is the only issue and challenge BUT if you can, purchase an AnyTemp Spa, made in AZ and sold factory direct, they can be kept COOL in the summer (they have a chiller) and warm in the winter. Even small swimming pools get very hot in the summer in AZ and are often not refreshing and pools require significant maintenance from the wind blowing sand, dust, etc.......Keep COOOL and you'll love AZ! We moved from So. Cal. to AZ to raise our kids and very, very glad we did!
