Thats true, I've been living in Dallas for 6 years and I haven't been to any professional games, watch on tv like I always have. Of course nothing matches going to see the horns play those sooners at the cotton bowl, at least in this neck of the prarie and of course a Fletchers corn dog at the Texas State Fair to finish off the experience. Usually after hearing boomer sooner about 48 times(for some reason the okies think they have to play the fight song every time they get a first down) and sweating bullets for hours.

no city in Arkansas or Alabama is going to get a pro sports team. (I guess many more states could be added to that list)

I might be wrong, but I can't see any scenario in which Little Rock would get a professional sports team. It's a political town, not a sports town. Fayetteville too much of a college town. Factoring in outlying areas might make Little Rock more attractive in terms of getting a team, but it won't make any difference in the amount of support they get. Even then, it just simply isn't large enough. Cities that are a whole lot bigger and more sports-oriented have a hard enough time filling the seats.
If such a thing were to happen, it would have to be an indoor team, where the seating capacity wouldn't be so demanding. Since hockey is as popular in Arkansas as snow-skiing is, that indoor team would have to basketball... but then there's the Memphis Grizzlies close by.

I guess we're talking major league sports only?? If not, let's not forget LR already has the Travelers and the Twisters.

But yes if we talk NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL *snorts*, then LR will not have a team for many many many many years...if ever.
