can you believe, we are watching the game: the Hoggs are on the 12 yard line with less than 2 minutes left and ESPN cuts in, blacks it out and says "this programming is not availaable in your area" Even if they had cut over to another game it would have been one thing, but just to suddenly take it off: I bet the phones were ringing off the hook.

I would have been furious! You must have Dish Network.

I think it's hilarious that Dish Network blamed ESPN for the last minute blackout, but I got to see the whole game on ESPN through my cable provider. It wasn't ESPN that did it, it was Dish Network.

I would have more angry if ESPN cut over to the Arizona-USC game or Poker from Windsor, Ontario than the television losing service.

I hope you got to watch the end of the game!

Thank goodness I canceled Dish and have Directv! The second half was edge of your seat exciting.

you got it and hubby has several shares of Direct TV. We switched to Dish about 18 months ago cause we got a great deal and being horse racing fans, we got the horse racing channels. What do you bet we switch back to Direct next March when our Dish contract is up?

Nope, but we got to hear it and our daughter, her husband, her daughter and son in law all have season tickets. They were at Jerry's mausoleum (as hubby calls it)

It depended on your location. I've been a DirecTV subscriber for years but I'm right in the middle of SEC country. I had the blackout as well. They did move the game over to an alternate ESPN channel but I was watching a recording of the game so there was no chance for me to change the channel.

Regardless, don't you think it was crappy to do this with only 2 minutes left in the game and they didn't even switch to another game?

Dish has been giving a $5 a month discount for a year (or 6 months... Something around there) for anyone who calls and complains.
