D..C. I thought about you a couple hours ago: our blackberries are starting to ripen and I picked quite a few this morning in front of the house. Later or tomorrow I will check the street behind us. Usually the deer beat me to them, but this year we haven't seen nearly as many deer. It is a mixed bag for us: we love to watch the babies grow up through the summer, but we don't like all the damage the four legged creatures can do.
