I have seen statistics that there are about 1,000 children living in HSV, and I know there is a daycare there too so I am guessing there are a decent number of younger families. But I know the median age is 68. It's nice to have a balanced community. Nowhere is perfect, but I think HSV could be a good fit for me at this point in my life. I am looking forward to my visit.
Do keep us posted. Average age is 68 would make me question the move, but it is your call. BV and it is pretty much a retirement center as well, though changing fast has an average age of about 50. Still I am sure younger people do find it pretty much filled with seniors.

We love living here, even being on the east end with no grocery store for 15 miles in any direction. Both schools, Jessieville and Fountain Lake are highly rated and bus routes do come into the village. The employment could be difficult, the jobs around the village will not pay much so you would have to look in Hot Springs or the Benton/Bryant/Little Rock areas and that commute could get old.

Hope you enjoy your visit and welcome to the village.

Thanks for your service. You will find a LOT of veterans and retired military here. We’ve lived in the village for six years now, love it here.

If you would like a guide to give you a quick tour, let me know. I’m still working, so I may not be available, but if I am I’d be happy to show you around.
