Hello, my husband and I are looking into relocating to the Bryant area but are having difficulty finding homes to rent. We are moving from Camden and have three children ages 9, 7, and 2. We are looking for a 3-4 bedroom in the price range of 500-650 if possible. Also, can anyone tell me a little about Bryant...I have done research online but would like to hear from people that actually live there. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

I don't live there so perhaps I shouldn't reply, but we have friends living there who are pleased. It is a booming area because of "white flight" out of Little Rock, and our friends had two sons who recently graduated from Bryant schools and the parents are happy with the education they received.

Hi there, I live in Bryant, and can tell you some about it.

I think you will be hard pressed to find a rent in your price range. Even a decent two bedroom apartment will run you $600 here.

We have a nice shopping center with Kohls, Target and Best Buy. Benton is only a few miles down the road and has a super multi-screen movie theater. Bryant has also built a brand new massive high school. There is a new ball park with indoor swimming pools and gym.

On the downside, the traffic is horrendous during the week. Most of the access roads are one way, everything backs up. It's a nightmare to try and get in and out of Wal-mart during the week. Thankfully, there are other grocery stores, Food Giant and Harvest Foods.

Someone mentioned white flight, but I'm noticing more and more black people moving in too. I also find the locales to not be very friendly, and the politics here are nasty, but that's probably the norm anywhere these days. lol

I have friends who moved from Illinois to outside of Fayetteville, AR and they hired an agent to look for a rental for them. I don't remember the cost but my friends said it was well worth what they paid. The agent set up the appointments to look at places on the same day and my friends looked at two places and took the second place they looked at and they are still there. They actually have moved again but it was from a rental mobile home double wide into one in the same court across the street that they decided to purchase. They love it and won't be moving back to Illinois anytime soon I'm sure.
