Im visiting Fort Smith next week and was looking for recommendations of places to eat. Any nice little (non chain) breakfast places y'all would recommend? Is the Indian restaurant in town good for lunch/ dinner? Where are some of your favorite places to eat out?

Sisters is in Van Buren (downtown) and they have a nice breakfast. It is not too far out of the way.

For Southern cooking there's Calico County and Eunice's (for meat-and-three). Both off Rogers, 56th and 74th street respectively.

Rolando's downtown near the river has an eclectic Latin menu. Hamburger Bar(n), also downtown, is an interesting lunchtime location.

I'm pretty sure there is more than one Indian restaurant.
Hamburger Barn is good.

I don't believe Ft. Smith has an Indian restaurant. As for non-chain breakfast I would second Sisters in Van Buren. Most of the more popular restaurants in Ft Smith are chains. There is Red Lobster, Olive Garden, Buffalo Wild Wings, Chili's, etc.

Rolandos is a chain. Calico County is great. George's (just west of UAFS on Grand) is good too.

My boss used to give me $25 gift cards to Calico County, it was ok for free but I wasn't really awestruck.

There are three Rolando's... the original is in Fort Smith.

At one time there was another in Van Buren, owned by Rolando's ex.
