Joneboro is growing, but it is still primarily a college town and until it gets a lot more industry like NWA and Little Rock it will never resemble either place. Now, when some companies the size of WalMart, Hunt Trucking and Tysons decide to open their corporate headquarters in Jonesboro area things might change. So far, there is no indication that is going to happen.
Wal-Mart, JB Hunt, and Tyson's weren't major companies when they got their start in Northwest Arkansas. Some of the companies in Jonesboro might become corporate giants someday, too. Jonesboro is what it is. There is no way to tell what it may become.

Of course you are probably right, but to expect Jonesboro to pass NWA is a little unrealistic..I guess my concerns or comments are based on someone who says they have never even been in Ar and posting Jonesboro is going to take off. None of us know what will be the next place to take off. Who would have thought NWA 20 years ago or even Dallas 30 years ago?
