Is it possible ( and legal ) to make wagers from home on the races at Oaklawn ?

Last year I made fantasy wagering on the races by using the daily Little Rock Democrat Gazette.
I made $692 profit last year

This year my "profit " so far is $1501

I only bet real conservative and have a method I use that is beating the writer from the Little Rock Democrat Gazette as he is -$509 so far.

Just wondering if it is available and legal to place wagers from home.

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure off-site wagering is illegal in AR.

I can't swear either way,but I am 99% sure you are right. The only off track betting I know of and we are huge racing fans, is a few of the OK casinos. Even then, there are only a few. We usually go to one of the them for the races the day before the big races, like the Breeders cup or the Derby. Otherwise we bet thought our son in law in FLorida who goes to the dog track for the big ones.

I don't live in AR but just checked a couple of legal online racetrack betting sites, and their pulldown menus for user location both include AR.
It might not be legal for AR residents to bet on an AR track, though.

edit to add: just realized it's possible that even though the drop downs show AR, they might not notify you that you're ineligible until after you've completed the registration process. So not sure if AR allows it or not..

Advanced Deposit Wagering has changed so much throughout the U.S. that it is difficult to keep up with its nuances and legalities unless one is involved with it regularly. I would just suggest you give the ARD a call and ask them directly, no harm/no foul.

Best regards, sincerely
